BIOFUELS AWARD WINNER TO ADDRESS INFRASTRUCTURE OPPORTUNITES IN THE LOW-CARBON AGE Primafuel to detail how low-carbon policies will further challenge United States biofuels infrastructure Nashville, TN (February 14, 2008) – Primafuel co-founder, Rahul Iyer, will provide the keynote address at the Biomass Supply Chain and Logistics Update in Nasalternhville, TN on February 18, 2008. The speech, titled, “Critical Infrastructure in a Low-Carbon World,” will address impending low-carbon policy changes and how these changes will impact an already-limited American biofuel infrastructure system. “As we enter the low-carbon age the biofuels industry will face monumental opportunities and challenges,” said Primafuel CEO Richard Woods. “Understanding the fuel supply chain is critical. We look forward to meeting with other biofuel supply chain and logistic leaders in Nashville and contributing to this important industry conversation.” The Biomass Supply Chain and Logistics Update will bring together logistics and supply chain experts from industry, academia, and government agencies. Included on the participant list is Dr. Corey Radtke, of the Idaho National Lab. “Biomass supply chains and logistics are much more than simple go-betweens that unite feedstock production with industrial uses,” he said. “The collective operations in the supply chain heavily impacts the cost, quality, tonnage, and risks associated with feedstocks.” Primafuel will begin construction on its new biofuels plant at the Port of Sacramento in 2008. The plant will be constructed to meet stringent low-carbon regulations. As part of its drive toward zero-carbon fuels, Primafuel’s infrastructure projects have earned accolades and awards from leading authorities such as the World Economic Forum and the California Air Resources Board.
